This course teaches you how to create and maintain a DOT-required drug and alcohol program for your Commercial Driver’s licensed (CDL) holding drivers. We will discuss the types of testing required and the necessary elements to comply with the Department of Transportation regulations in 49 CFR 382. We incorporate industry best practices for sending drivers for testing and when to send drivers for testing. This course is an intermediate course. If you are new to trucking or your job in trucking, we strongly recommend our Trucking Basic course before taking this course. This course is perfect for those whose job responsibilities include managing the drug and alcohol program for CDL drivers.
